Forest Live

trees have been planted
hectares of forest are sustainably preserved

Since its creation in 2004, RDV Products has always been actively engaged in supporting small rural producers and their communities to improve social, economic and environmental conditions.
In 2006, by setting up Organic and Fair Trade certifications, RDV Products manages to promote the products it sells, in order to create a decisive impact for producers and for the environment.
To accelerate the social and environmental impact of projects, starting in 2016, RDV Products began to integrate project management into its activities. Thus, a project in the Amazon, then a project in southern Brazil, was conducted, with the co-participation of BMZ (Germany) and ADA (Austria), to diversify cultures, create training content for the producers, and to structure the Organic and Fair Trade production channels, while preserving the Amazonian rainforest and the Atlantic Forest.
Thanks to these experiences and its French-Brazilian project management team, RDV Products started in 2017 its FOREST LIVE project, for which 1% of the turnover of the company is invested in the Reforestation projects.

Since 2 years, RDV Products has invested in 2 main areas:

  • Preservation and densification of existing forest areas.
  • Reforestation and recovery of degraded areas.

Thanks to this project, since 2017, more than 12,000 trees have been planted, and more than 4,000 hectares of forest are sustainably preserved.

From 2019, RDV Products publishes an Annual Impact Report on the actions carried out

The deforestation of the Amazonian rainforest is constantly increasing, and since the beginning of 2019, the deforestation is accelerating further. As the result of the economic and environmental policy of the current Brazilian government, this intensification has accelerated sharply in recent months, and is expected to continue to grow significantly in the coming years. Even with the media coverage of these recent events to alert the public opinion, they are not a surprise, since the Brazilian president had made deforestation and development of agribusiness an argument of his political campaign.

In this environmental context, RDV Products continues to develop its FOREST LIVE project, based on its turnover, which allows us to develop in 2019 several reforestation projects on rivers and degraded lands in the Amazon.

We also offer our clients and partners the opportunity to participate with our team in this project to accelerate the impact of the FOREST LIVE project.
Whether sourcing your products from RDV Products or participating directly in the FOREST LIVE project, you can actively participate in our efforts to preserve and recover the Amazonian forest.

The objective of the FOREST LIVE project is to reduce, to the extent possible, the acceleration of the deforestation, and the impact of climate change, which is already manifested by the disappearance of productive plots and products from Amazonian biodiversity.
